June 30th
Omaha Lightning Volleyball invites you to the National JV Homeschool Tournament
In conjunction with the National Varsity Homeschool Tournament
on Thursday & Friday, November 5th & 6th, 2009
at Grace University, 1311 S 9th St , Omaha, NE
We are expecting a field of 16 teams for the JV volleyball tournament and 8-16 teams for the Jr. High tournament. Cost per team is $250.
You may reserve a slot by return email and paid team registrations (see attached) are due on October 1, 2009. Details will be emailed later to those with reservations.

Championship Saturday November 7th:
Changes are being planned for Saturday to give greater emphasis to all the Division championships and semi-final games. During the new Closing Ceremonies, each division will be honored and have their own Division All-Tournament Team.
Schedule:
Depending on the number of teams this year, we may begin pool play on Wednesday evening at 5 pm. If this is the case, practice times will be from 12:00 to 4:00pm Please plan your arriving in Omaha for the possibility of playing on Wednesday evening. Details for scheduling will be posted on website as soon as we are able to work everything out.
JV/JH Tournament:
This year we are trying to help coordinate an annual JV and/or Jr High National Tournament. Anyone interested in having a team in a JV or JH tournament on November 5 & 6th please contact us at director@nhsvbt.org
The information page has also been updated and contains a few more changes for the 2009 tournament. As of today, registration for the tournament is OPEN as well!
February 3rd
The 2009 NHSVBT dates have been set!
Wednesday November 4th through Saturday November 7th
We heard all of your comments about sticking with the same date (first weekend in November) and so we are!
Thanks for your input and we look forward to seeing you all in Omaha!
January 23rd
The 2009 NHSVBT promises to be another exciting event under the directorship of John and Roxanne Schnell.
Luther and Brian Larson will remain in the same role as multi tasking, web designing, tourney formatting experts.
Mark and Maureen Mancuso are passing on the torch. It has been a pleasure serving in this capacity.
Happy New Year, and may the Lord God bless you on your path to Omaha this year.
